Senior Associate

Job Description

Strategic Advisory / Intelligence | Senior Associate | London | Base Salary £75k-£90k + Bonus + Commission

About the Company:

Our client is a boutique, intelligence-driven strategic advisory firm supporting senior executives, investors and businesses with high-stakes strategic decisions across the Americas and Europe.

The company combines rigorous research, deep market understanding and a carefully developed international network to help clients assess opportunities, test assumptions, navigate risk and make better-informed commercial decisions. Their work is focused across areas such as M&A support, strategy development, value creation planning, market entry, stakeholder mapping, competitor intelligence and regulatory risk.

They are now looking to expand their London team with a commercially minded Senior Associate who can take ownership of client delivery, strengthen project governance and contribute to business development.

About the Role:

They are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to lead client engagements from initial scoping through to final delivery. This is a hands-on, client-facing role suited to someone from management consulting, investment banking, strategic advisory or another high-performing commercial environment.

You will be responsible for managing complex projects, overseeing multiple workstreams, producing high-quality client outputs and working closely with senior stakeholders. Alongside delivery, you will also contribute to business development through market insight, relationship building, structured sales intelligence and commercial opportunity mapping.

This role would suit someone who is analytical, organised, commercially sharp and confident operating in a boutique, fast-paced advisory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead client engagements end-to-end, from scoping and work planning through to execution and final delivery.
  • Manage multiple workstreams across concurrent projects, ensuring clear priorities, timelines, accountability and quality control.
  • Produce clear, commercially relevant analysis, reports, recommendations and presentations for senior clients.
  • Work closely with senior executives, investors and decision-makers across a range of sectors and geographies.
  • Support business development activity through relationship building, outreach, market insight and client engagement.
  • Build and maintain sales and revenue intelligence, helping the firm identify pipeline opportunities and client priorities.
  • Bring structure, consistency and oversight to project planning, staffing, delivery processes and internal governance.
  • Support and develop junior team members, providing guidance in a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Turn complex commercial, operational and market information into clear conclusions and actionable recommendations.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years’ experience in management consulting, investment banking, strategic advisory, corporate intelligence, private equity advisory or a similarly high-performing environment.
  • Strong end-to-end project delivery experience, with the ability to lead complex client work from brief to final output.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to bring pace, structure and accountability to delivery.
  • Strong analytical judgement and the ability to assess commercial and operational issues quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and business development ability, including the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a credible professional network.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership and wider teams.
  • High attention to detail and a strong standard of written output.
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint or equivalent tools.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Experience across M&A, strategy, value creation, investor advisory, market entry, political risk, regulatory risk or commercial due diligence is a plus.

Compensation and benefits:

  • Competitive salary (£75k-£90k)
  • Performance-based bonus.
  • Commission opportunity for originating new business.
  • Hybrid working arrangement.
  • London-based role within a growing boutique advisory firm.
  • Direct exposure to senior executives, investors and decision-makers.
  • Opportunity to work across sectors, geographies and high-stakes strategic situations.
  • High level of responsibility and ownership from an early stage.
  • Close collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Strong learning and development opportunity within a specialist advisory environment.
  • The chance to contribute meaningfully to both client work and wider business growth.
